2cv AZ ready for the road?

When a car project that has taken 1,5 years to complete reaches the final stage, you start to think what's next? And then all kinds of small things are still keeping you busy for a while. All the small things; fitting stuff that I forgot like the bench locking mechanism, mounting a new indicator switch (the old one turned out to be broken) that i bought this one at Histoparts, tidying up all kinds of parts and wiring.

The 2CV is pretty much ready now; the engine runs well, the brakes work after some more bleeding. I use Dot 5 silicone brake fluid because it's less agressive, doesn't attract water and stays stable a bit longer than (regular) oldskool Dot 3 or 4. I chose Eurol Brake Fluid DOT 5 Silic.Time will tell if this was a wise decision.

The next step is to do some more small driving tests on private roads and then she should be ready for the import inspection (she's still on French plates) on the 20th of april 2023. She will also get a new chassis number, because the current one is not properly legible.

After that i will receive a new license number and I will be able to order old style license plates in two parts. I will remount the license plate light that is in the middle of the rear panel. For the inspection, I removed that light and fitted rear light reflectors that also illuminate the license plate. This type was always fitted to Dutch 2CV's; it was only in France were the cars had the weird two-part license plates. In The Netherlands it is forbidden to fit those plates, but I think I will take the risk.
